The integrated use of LinkOne parts catalogues with SAP/R3 and mySAP.com was developed by Wessendorf. The LinkOne for R/3 Viewer provides a connection between SAP R/3 and the viewer component of LinkOne. The viewer provides support in R/3 in all situations where material numbers are needed. Spare parts selection in sales, purchasing, customer service and maintenance can be speeded-up and simplified considerably. Parts are selected based on technical drawing information. If SAP material numbers are not used in the catalogue, conversion is possible using purchasing info records or the manufacturer parts number administration. A special interface designed for service and maintenance orders ensures that during component assignment for the orders the correct amount and correct item category are included. When the viewer is called up, the system immediately displays the appropriate catalogue for an equipment or functional location.
